Summary
By the fall of 1942, German U-boats had struck deep into the mighty St. Lawrence Reiver, sinking 21 ships and killing more than 250 people. Germany had reached its goal: it had effectively shut down the St. Lawrence River to all Canadian convoys destined for Great Britain. The people living along the St. Lawrence began fearing the worst--a German landing. This is the untold story of spies who landed on our shores and of a mysterious submarine landing that remained secret for more than 35 years. Told through exclusive interviews with the only surviving Germans who landed on our soil during World War II, and the chambermaid who unmasked a German spy in a small village on the Gaspé peninsula
