Summary
No, not even dead, would I never resign," he thought as he saw through the window how the immense tricolor flag was waving in the very heart of the Republic. 17 months have passed since the inauguration of Antonio M. Lugo Olea, AMLO, as president of all Mexicans. 17 months in which hopelessness and disappointment have clouded his government. His detractors are growing and he seems to have completely lost control of the country. To make matters worse, Trump has decided that the time for a face-to-face meeting at the White House has come. Mariano Everhard, his foreign secretary, makes it very clear, that there is no negative possible. With pressure and direct threats from the United States, in the midst of a country mired in uncertainty, with thousands of deaths due to the pandemic, with millions of jobs lost, with dozens of projects discarded due to their ignorance, AMLO realizes that he does not have many roads ahead. Maybe only one is possible. Will he take it? When Mexico Lost Hope is the continuation of the narrative exercise proposed by Francisco Martín Moreno in Ladron de Espezas. It is the urgent political fiction for the times and in which any resemblance to reality is not, at all, a coincidence
