Summary
Colin Farrell and Academy Award winner Sissy Spacek star in the story of two young men--best friends and former teenaged lovers--who fall in love with the same woman and find A HOME AT THE END OF THE WORLD. In suburban Cleveland of the 1960s and '70s, lonely, introspective, insecure Jonathan (Dallas Roberts) and hip, dark, inarticulate Bobby (Farrell) were more than best friends. As young adults, Jonathan has been living as an openly gay man in New York's Greenwich Village and plans to serve as the father for his pregnant friend, Clare's (Robin Wright Penn), child. Now, the straight, charismatic slacker Bobby moves to New York, renews his friendship with Jonathan--and falls in love with Clare. And, with the help of Jonathan's mother (Spacek), these three people bound together by love must find a way to become a family. Based on the novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Cunningham (The Hours)
