As the city of Kabul falls under the yoke of the Taliban and crumbles, Mohsen and Zunaira love each other. Mohsen, professor at the Koranic school, is offered to teach in an underground school where it will be possible for him to approach literature, art and history, the real one. Faced with this opportunity, Mohsen decides to drive his partner home to her parents. En route, Mohsen commits a gesture condemned by the Taliban. Zunaira therefore finds himself imprisoned. His guardian, Atiq, is fascinated by his new prisoner. So the day he has to hang her, he has to make a choice
