Rearrested after stealing prawns, small-time crook Alvin Sanders (Foxx) lands himself ina cell with John Jaster (Robert Pastorelli), half of the gold-thieving duo. With Jaster's partner, Bristol (Doug Hutchinson), still at large, U.S. Treasury agents, led by investigator Edgar Clenteen (David Morse),secretly implant an experimental tracking device in Alvin and set him free. At the same time, they circulate a rumor that Jaster told Alvin where gold is, hoping that Bristol will emerge from hiding to silence Alvin.
