Summary
An idealistic pro-Stalin security officer decides to investigate a series of child murders, but the Soviet Union has a hardliner policy regarding these crimes: they do not exist in their country. He finds himself angering his own government by simply suggesting the existence of a child-targeting serial killer. When he is demoted and exiled, he continues his investigation with just the help of his wife
